Congratulations to Solartron ISA on being Granted F4H2 and CCUS.
We are very pleased to announce that Solartron ISA has been granted F4H2 & CCUS which shows the participation and commitment demonstrated to the programme.
What is Fit for Hydrogen (F4H2) & CCUS?
Fit For Hydrogen (F4H2) & CCUS is a program designed to assess and develop the capabilities of businesses in the UK for supplying the growing hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) markets.
- Fit For Hydrogen (F4H2): This program helps businesses evaluate their readiness to participate in the hydrogen production sector. Hydrogen is seen as a promising low-carbon fuel source, and F4H2 ensures companies meet the standards required to be part of this growing field.
- Fit For Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS): This program focuses on CCUS technology, which captures carbon emissions from industrial processes and power plants. The captured carbon can then be either reused (CCU) or stored permanently (CCS) to prevent it from entering the atmosphere.
Essentially, F4H2 & CCUS helps businesses position themselves to take advantage of the UK's push for clean energy by ensuring they meet the technical and operational requirements of the hydrogen and CCUS industries.
Here are some additional points to consider:
- F4H2 & CCUS is a pilot program that initially ran from November 2022 to December 2023.
- It's part of the Zero Carbon Humber initiative, which aims to transform the Humber region in the UK into the world's first net-zero industrial area by 2040.
- The program is based on a successful model called Fit For Nuclear, which helped businesses prepare for involvement in the nuclear sector.
